Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs with a deep love for healthcare, Chad knew from an early age that serving others was his calling. After fourteen years as an ICU nurse, he and his wife found themselves at a crossroads. Her real estate brokerage had just sold, and they were intentionally designing the next chapter of their lives. A single podcast featuring a RAL Academy graduate spoke directly to their shared vision of a “transcended lifestyle” — building something that mattered not just financially, but eternally. Within a month, they were at the training in Arizona and never looked back.
Guided by data over feeling, they landed in Madison, Mississippi, a community that had never had a single assisted living option for its seniors. The road wasn’t without obstacles. A two-year zoning battle on their original property ultimately fell through, but Chad saw it as God’s timing, using the delay to grow as an entrepreneur and build the community relationships that would later open doors. When he brought his vision to the right municipality, both the city and the Mississippi State Health Department embraced it wholeheartedly.
Today, The Oaks is a purpose-built, 12,812-square-foot home for 15 seniors in Madison, Mississippi, designed from the ground up with features like zero-threshold showers, a parlor, game room, and music room. With 24-hour awake staffing and systems built for long-term scalability, Chad is currently hands-on seven days a week establishing the operational foundation. Already approved for a neighboring 15-bed memory care home on the same five-acre campus, he’s clear this is just the beginning, driven less by the business itself than by the relationships he gets to build with the residents in his care.
