Medication management is one of the biggest needs that seniors have.

They come in to assisted living if they’re living at home and forgetting to take their medication, or taking the wrong medication at the wrong time; a very dangerous situation.

One of the things that the caregivers will do is medication management. Tweet this!

Now, in different states it’s handled differently. The manager might be the one who’s responsible. It might be what’s called a med tech, or in Arizona where I am, the caregivers need to go through training to be able to pass the medication.

Nobody can make a resident take medication, but what they can do is pass it to them saying, “Here is your medication. Here is what you’re supposed to get.” Then they record it, “I gave it to them. They took,” or, “They didn’t.”
